1 Gallon Resin, 1 Gallon Hardener
Make sure your workspace is well-ventilated and you wear gloves while working with liquid epoxy resin.
Determine the amount of mixed epoxy you need for your project. Measure the resin and hardener in a simple 1:1 ratio (by volume) in a mixing cup.
Slowly mix the two components together with a stirrer to minimize air bubbles forming. Stir for 3-5 minutes until clear, scraping the sides and bottom to ensure the resin and hardener are properly mixed. Pour into a second mixing cup and stir for another 2-3 minutes. If using pigments or tinting, add and stir again until blended.
Pour the epoxy resin into your mold or on a flat surface, using a spreader to evenly distribute across the surface. For coating, your layer should be no more than 1/2" deep to prevent excessive heat and distortion while curing. For molds using 10 oz. or less, pour up to 2" max.
Let the epoxy sit for 10 minutes, then carefully pop any air bubbles by waving a heat gun back and forth just above the surface.
Want to build up layers? Allow the epoxy resin to cure for 4-6 hours minimum, until it is no longer tacky, then pour a new layer on top. Repeat as needed to create a high-build effect.
